the Potter and the clay

I am joining with Lisa Jo Baker for Five Minute Friday. The goal is to write for five minutes about a word. No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation. Unscripted. Unedited. Real.

Today’s prompt is:

Release

The impossible letting go of what my heart is bound to
bringing an explosion of life deep within my soul
as the release bears the fruit of a life found worthy

I will release every little thing when you ask of me
Help me, G-d
I say, Your boundary lines are perfect
I will hold fast to trust in the G-d invisible,
and surrender to the One who is good

Release my grip,
One finger at a time
And let Him take hold
Breathe life back into all the broken lonely places
Teach my hands to war in the choice to let go
that You can have it all and You can bring life

I choose to release
I choose to let go
Because You are the Potter, I am the clay
