Bring Your People Home

Abba, Your people Israel cannot find You today
Abba, Your firstborn Son is hurting and lost
without You
Abba, would You visit the hearts of the sons of Israel
with Your tender mercy and kindness
Would You show them Your great love for them
Abba, please minister Your heart and Your holy desire
to the ones You love, the ones You made covenant with

You are their merciful Father
Filled with lovingkindness and steadfast mercy,
relenting from harm, patient in love
You are their G-d
They are Your children

O Abba, in my day and in my time
Please bring restoration to Israel
Please bring redemption to Jerusalem
Please raise up a people who love You and love Your people

Abba, raise up friends of Your heart
Raise up ones filled with Your love,
Your Spirit, Your comfort
Abba, raise up a people who love
beyond themselves
Who live in the testimony of who You are,
Who long for Your heart’s desire for Israel
to come to pass
Abba, break in today on the heart of Your people
And draw them home
Bring them near to You once again

For Day 16 hearts to turn & be healed go to
For Day 17 friend of G-d
For Day 18 restore Zion
For Day 19 You are the G-d of restoration

Today’s Prompt: Adjust

hearts to turn & be healed

Abba, where my mind is blinded and I cannot see
Adjust my vision
Where my heart cannot enter in
Remove the veil

Your people Israel are Your firstborn
Yet for many years, decades, centuries
We’ve not seen nor understood

How is this, that our minds are blinded and our hearts are not free?
How is this, that we say we want Your heart yet we don’t love our elder brother?
How is it, that blindness of mind and hardness of heart
still prevail?
And we cannot see Your Word clearly at times

Abba, why is it so hard to believe You love us outside of our works?
Why are we so prone to desire being right rather than being righteous?
Abba, we need the cleansing from iniquity and the washing of the Word and the Spirit

We’ve missed so much of what You said about Israel
In our own self-righteousness
Thinking we were better
Yet Abba, we’re not
We need Your mercy
Like Israel needs Your mercy

Please come and adjust our minds, our hearts, our understanding
That eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to turn and be healed,
To love our brother Israel
We would have

That in turn
We would ache for this for Israel
Abba, give Your beloved Israel eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts to turn to You and be healed
Let this be our desire

For Day 13 the labor of His soul go to
For Day 14 His love is enough go to
For Day 15 LIFE for Israel go to

higher vision, His vision – day 2

Today’s Prompt: View

Higher Vision, His Vision

I begin to take a look,
A little deeper, a little higher
Today than I did yesterday
I see things differently than I did before

That conversation with Abba about His people Israel
Begins to change me inside,
Or at least I become aware of something I did not see before
I begin to see things differently
I begin to contemplate and wonder,
“What if Israel means Israel?”
The people of Israel, the place of Israel

The whole story I’ve understood begins to be upset, to shift, to change
My mindset and worldview begin to bow low at the possibility
that You might just be a little bigger
and a little different than the god I had imagined

Abba, I want to know what’s in Your heart
I want to believe the truth
I want Your living Word
To penetrate my heart and soul
I don’t want doctrines of man
To keep me from revelation
That comes straight from Your heart
I want life from and in You

Awaken my soul
Awaken my heart
Awaken my understanding

I want eyes that see
I want ears that can hear
I want a heart that is willing to be softened, transformed and changed
By You, and You alone

You are my source, my sustenance, my life
Show me what’s true
And let my heart expand to agree with You

For Day 1 go to
For Day 3 go to

אמת – truth

I am joining with Lisa Jo Baker for Five Minute Friday. The goal is to write for five minutes about a word. No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation. Unscripted. Unedited. Real.

Today’s prompt is:

When I honestly think about the concept of truth today, in light of life experience, I get a little frustrated. I have always loved the concept of truth and believed truth was simple, straightforward and beyond reproach. As life goes on and gets a little more complicated, truth seems to become less static than it used to be. The black and whiteness of my vision seems less and less helpful, needful or desired. When do you compromise on what you believe to be true, and when do you hold on with a grip fierce enough to withstand the disagreements and arguments? Maybe there will not be solid answers to cling to regarding this. I wish there were. I wish there was a list for every type of instance. I guess the Torah is the closest, but it still takes discernment and ears to hear G-d’s voice moment by moment. The daily walk with G-d where there is still no guarantee except that You are good, You are one and You are the living truth I long for.
